Numerous new customers confirm: The prudsys RECOMMENDATION ENGINE has established itself as the leading e-commerce recommendation system.

Over the past two months prudsys AG was able to gain numerous new customers (e.g. Lufthansa World Shop, 1-2-3 TV, Quelle Austria, OTTO Netherlands). The recommendation engine by the realtime analytics specialist underlines their status as the most frequently used recommendation engine in German-speaking countries.

The prudsys RECOMMENDATION ENGINE (abbreviated to: prudsys RE) was awarded the prize for innovative products by the "Initiative Mittelstand" in the e-commerce category. The data mining specialist was also awarded the preferred business partner status from the Federal Association of German Mail-Order Companies (bvh) - a seal of quality that guarantees expertise that is specific to mail-order companies and top class services.

Around 50% of the top 20 German mail order companies, e.g. Quelle, Heine and Baur as well numerous mail order companies in the top 100 (source: mail order company consultants) including 3 Pagen/3 Suisse, Alba Moda, Douglas, karstadt, Mexx etc. have now placed their trust in prudsys RE and are using this recommendation engine successfully to generate high-quality and personalised product and purchase recommendations. The realtime analytics specialist was also able to gain Lufthansa WorldShop, 1-2-3 TV, Quelle Austria, OTTO Netherlands and the Tradoria shopping portal as new customers in recent months.

This positive balance, even in the last quarter of 2008, confirms the successful concept of prudsys AG in offering innovative recommendation technology that is based on realtime data mining for retailers that is characterised by quicker and simpler integration into existing IT systems and a modular structure. The recommendation engine is not only used to generate personal and customised product and purchase recommendations in online shops and electronic newsletters, it also allows new business scenarios such as dynamic price improvements and the prevention of shopping basket cancellations (customer targeting) in online shopping to be implemented.

A key factor in this success story is the high technological innovation offered by the recommendation system. The prudsys RE is considered to be world’s first self-learning recommendation engine that improves its own recommendations independently through ongoing interaction with the online shop visitors and guarantees for the first time a noticeable return on investment (ROI) and an additional 5 to 15% in revenue.
